Buy a domain on Namecheap and connect it in ten minutes

Two DNS records, one Verify button, and an SSL certificate that issues and renews itself. This is the same guide shown inside your dashboard, with your real records filled in.

www and bare domains

Point www.yourdomain.com, yourdomain.com, or both at any site.

SSL included

Certificates are issued on the first visit and renewed for you.

Verified, not guessed

A TXT record proves ownership, so nobody else can claim your domain.

Step by step

From Namecheap to live

Follow these four steps once; the domain card in your dashboard shows the exact values for your domain.

  1. Buy the domain on Namecheap

Search for the name at namecheap.com , add it to the cart, and check out. Skip Namecheap hosting, email, SSL, and PremiumDNS: Web Alpha provides hosting and the certificate. Keep the free domain privacy and turn on auto-renew.

Confirm the contact email Namecheap sends you; unconfirmed domains get suspended.

  2. Add the domain here

Enter www.yourdomain.com (or the bare yourdomain.com) in Add a custom domain. The domain card that appears lists the exact records for your domain, each with a copy button. Add both forms if you want both to work.

  3. Create the DNS records in Namecheap

In Namecheap open Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS. On the Domain tab, Nameservers must say Namecheap BasicDNS. Delete the parking records Namecheap adds (CNAME www → parkingpage.namecheap.com and the URL Redirect for @), then click Add New Record:

    For www.yourdomain.com

    TypeHostValueTTL
    TXT_webalpha-verify.wwwwa-verify-…Automatic
    CNAMEwwwsites.webalpha.ioAutomatic

    For the bare domain yourdomain.com

    TypeHostValueTTL
    TXT_webalpha-verifywa-verify-…Automatic
    A@45.55.105.77Automatic

Namecheap's Host field takes only the part before your domain: www, not www.yourdomain.com. Leave MX and other email records untouched.

  4. Verify and go live

Click Verify on the domain card. Namecheap usually propagates within a couple of minutes; click again if it is not ready. Once verified, open the domain in a browser: the first visit issues the SSL certificate (a few seconds), after that it renews itself. Your yourname.webalpha.io address keeps working too.
